Terms of Service
Effective 8 July 2026
1. Who we are
QuickLift Academy (quicklift.academy) is operated by Ortomate Ltd (NZBN 9429052636967), a company registered in New Zealand. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Ortomate Ltd, and "you" means anyone who uses QuickLift Academy. By creating an account or purchasing a Quick Lift, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
QuickLift Academy is a Role Readiness service for senior professionals. You upload your LinkedIn export or CV as a PDF, paste a target role description, and QuickLift Academy generates a gap analysis and a focused learning plan (a "Quick Lift"). Completing a Quick Lift's modules and quizzes earns a shareable certificate.
3. Accounts
You need an account (email and password) to use QuickLift Academy. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You can delete your data or your entire account at any time from your account settings.
4. Pricing, credits, and subscriptions
- A Quick Lift costs US$29 as a one-time purchase. Each purchase grants one Quick Lift credit; one credit generates one Quick Lift.
- Optionally, a US$19/month subscription grants one Quick Lift credit per month.
- You can cancel the subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep any credits already granted.
- Credits expire 12 months after they are granted.
5. Payments and refunds
Stripe processes all payments. QuickLift Academy never stores your card numbers. Because a Quick Lift is generated and delivered immediately on redemption, we do not generally offer refunds for purchased credits — but nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other consumer law that applies to you. If a Quick Lift fails to generate or is materially defective, contact us and we will re-generate it or refund it.
6. AI-generated content
Gap analyses, learning plans, quizzes, and certificates are generated by AI (via OpenAI's models). We verify that the resource links in your Quick Lift resolve, but we do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, and the third-party resources we link to are not ours. Use your judgement: QuickLift Academy is preparation material, not professional career, legal, or financial advice, and no output constitutes a guarantee of interview or employment outcomes.
7. Certificates
A QuickLift Academy certificate represents completion of a QuickLift Academy Quick Lift. It is not an accredited qualification, a license, or an endorsement by any employer or institution, and you must not present it as one. Certificates are private unless you choose to share them publicly.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of the documents you upload and you own the Quick Lifts and certificates generated for you. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process your content to provide the service — including sending profile and role text to OpenAI to generate your results, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to upload the documents you provide.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no uploading content you have no right to use, no attempting to access other users' data, no reselling or scraping generated content at scale, and no using the service to misrepresent your qualifications. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
10. Intellectual property
The QuickLift Academy website, software, branding, and methodology belong to Ortomate Ltd. Apart from your own content and generated results, you may not reproduce or republish material from the service without written permission.
11. Availability
We aim to keep QuickLift Academy available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice to export your certificates and content.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under New Zealand consumer law that cannot be excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of QuickLift Academy after an update means you accept the revised terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
